What's the role?
We are searching for a student (f/m/d) from August 2024 (ideally 16-20 hours per week) to join our development and testing team in Lanzenkirchen near Vienna. In this role you will support the R&D team on strategic topics such as new materials, projects and production methods. The focus of this job is on database maintenance with updated technical drawings and handling of R&D topics.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems such as Pipe clamps and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation, we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market. The special atmosphere at our site is the result of heterogeneous teams, personal performance, teamwork and mutual support.
What does the role involve?
- Literature research and documentation for different R&D projects
- Creation of CAD models and 2D technical drawings in Siemens NX
- Maintenance database with models and drawings
- Support on tolerance calculations, the strategy work on R&D topics and the assessment of the business potential for Hilti
- Work on tasks in test lab together with test engineers

What you need is:
- Ongoing studies (BSc/MSc) in the field of Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field of study
- Knowledge about how to create and evaluate concepts of technical solutions
- Basic understanding of Installation Systems
- Strong communication skills in English and networking skills
- High capability for self-organization

This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group II which states a minimum salary of € 2.073,03 per month gross on full time base. The part time salary varies on the working hours per week.
